Oh HECK yeah! Tonight's WOD was awesome! We had a great turn out, a lot of people that came on Friday, came back tonight! My best buds Amy and Becky tore up that gym tonight and I am so proud of them!
We did a large circuit...I am totally becoming a fan of them!
The S%&*!!
*Run 6 laps around the gym
*balance ball push-ups (as many as you could before the next group finished their 6 laps)
*balance ball squats with a weight (again, as many as you could)
*jump rope (don't stop!)
*kettlebell swings, regular and to the side (as many as you could)
*sit-ups (are we done yet?!)
then we did it all over again, but this time only 4 laps
I hear pull-ups and handstand push-ups are in the mix for Wednesday...YIKES!

8-28-09 WOD
We changed it up tonight, instead of the just doing the usual WOD we had a family fun kickball and BBQ night along with it! We invited more people in hopes that they too would join us in our life changing journey. We managed a few converts, I believe, and they will make a great addition to our CrossFit family! Thank you to the Cruz's for opening up your backyard and bathroom for the night, it was a blast!
The $&*!!
2x20 knees to elbows
2x20 squats
2 laps around the kickball field
an hour of kickball (which my team kicked butt!)
Then great food and socializing! Maybe it will become a once a month thing. We took pictures last night, and we will again in a month so we can hopefully see our progress along the way! Very excited to see what Monday will bring :)

8-26-09 WOD
Today I went in a little early to warm-up and get a little running in since I didn't get to do it this morning. I ran a mile in 11:30 and joined everyone else in the gym.
The $%&*!!
*5 minute run: I think I managed 9 or 10 laps around the gym, I am horrible at keeping track (and since I just got done doing the mile before that, I didn't go very fast)
*5 minute dips: 4 sets of 20
*5 minute kettlebell swings: 4 sets of 10; 2 sets of 15
A great workout, I love building muscle and doing cardio at the same time! We were supposed to do handstand push-ups instead of the dips, but even with help there was no way I could accomplish those! Just way too awkward! I'll stick to the dips, besides...do I really want to be ripped enough to do those?? nah...not really! ;)
Then to top it all of and make the night even better, Kathrina made some very tasty food for everyone to bring home and munch on. I could definately get used to that! Thanks Kathrina!

WOD 8-24-09
The S%&*!!:
*Run for 5 minutes
*Squat for 5 minutes
*sit-ups for 5 minutes

next time I'll keep track of how many of each I did to see if I can improve
After this WOD though, I felt so good I went and ran a mile in 11:14! Not bad for on a treadmill with a 1.5 incline...I despise treadmills. So next time I am gonna work harder because I shouldn't feel like I can go run a mile afterwards ;)

What is CrossFit??
CrossFit is high-intensity workout I do 3 times a week with an awesome group of people and even my awesome husband, Jason. Each session has left me saying explicit things in my head and they are exactly what I needed to re-jumpstart my weight loss. Especially after gaining almost 15 back over vacation! Each workout is different and I think we are going to start doing the WOD from the website (maybe with a few modifications, until I am strong enough to do them). So here's to another leg of getting healthy in '09!
